At the invitation by the UNDP electoral unit in Brussels, the Electoral Commissions of DRC, Lesotho, Namibia, Zambia, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zanzibar and Zimbabwe participated at this workshop which promoted Exchange of experiences and networking and cooperation amongst electoral stakeholders.
The Forum deployed Observer Missions to the National Assembly elections of South Africa and Tripartite elections of Malawi held on the 7th and 20th Of May 2014 respectively.
At the Invitation by the East African Community ( 16-18 March 2014), the Forum was represented by Electoral Commission of Namibia to present a paper about the Forum, its activities and challenges at a meeting held in Mwanza, Tanzania towards the establishment of EMBs Forum in the East African
Community- based in Arusha, Tanzania.
The Institute for African Renaissance Studies at the University of South Africa (UNISA) in collaboration with the ECF-SADC enrolled electoral officers from EMBs for the Management of Democratic Elections in Africa (MDEA) course for the two intakes in June and July 2014 respectively.
Similarly, UNISA organized a 5 day Executive Programme for Commissioners in August 2014.
The 16th Annual General Conference of the ECF-SADC to be hosted by the Electoral Commission of Mauritius on the 11th – 14th August 2014. The AGC theme shall be Electoral reforms and Electoral processes.
